Example - Object Oriented style

if ($mysqli -> connect_errno) {
  echo "Failed to connect to MySQL: " . $mysqli -> connect_error;
  exit();
}

// Get thread id
$thread_id = $mysqli -> thread_id;

// Kill connection
$mysqli -> kill($thread_id);
?>

Look at example of procedural style at the bottom.

Definition and Usage

The thread_id() / mysqli_thread_id() function returns the thread ID for the current connection. The connection can then be killed with the kill() function.
