Example - Object Oriented style

Return the server hostname and connection type:

Definition and Usage

The host_info() / mysqli_get_host_info() function returns the MySQL server hostname and the connection type.


Syntax

Object oriented style:

$mysqli -> host_info

Procedural style:

mysqli_get_host_info(connection)

Parameter Values

Parameter Description
connection Required. Specifies the MySQL connection to use

Technical Details

Return Value: Returns a string that represents the MySQL server hostname and the connection type
PHP Version: 5+
